Starting in the 1960’s artists expanded the field of sculpture to the deserts, fields, mountains, valleys and lakes.
I am traveling across the United States for three weeks this coming July and August to experience some of the most spectacular site-specific outdoor sculpture projects: Nancy Holt’s Sun Tunnels, Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty, Michael Heizer’s Double Negative and many others.
